Adam Dillon is a portrait photographer based in Sacramento, working regularly in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Over fifteen years he has developed a practice built around a single persistent interest: people defined by what they create and how it lives in them; artists, makers, craftsmen, performers.

His work moves between deep cinematic color on medium format and high-contrast black and white on Leica; two systems, two registers, one consistent point of view. His portraits have appeared in Vogue Italia and Harper's Bazaar, and his commercial work includes Hamilton Watches, Google, Levi's, and The North Face. His subjects have included Adrian Grenier and Usain Bolt.
